About Me

Hi there! My name is Ralston Dacanay and I’m a game coverage writer for 213Hoops. Additionally, I’m looking to leverage my experience and skills in journalism and SEO — as well as my passion for sports — to pursue my next opportunity in the digital media industry.

A class of 2020 alum of California State University, Long Beach, I graduated magna cum laude with honors, receiving my B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Finance.

Previously, I’ve worked as a Dot Esports contributing writer for GAMURS Group, a DBLTAP staff writer for Minute Media, an assistant sports editor and staff writer for the Daily Forty-Niner, a sports play-by-play intern for 22 West Radio and a social media volunteer for the Big West Conference’s basketball and volleyball tournaments.
